Arsenal Vs Chelsea-First Home Game For Arteta

Arsenal will play their last ever game of this decade today as they will face they archrival, Chelsea at the Emirates stadium.

This will be Mikel Arteta’s first home game as Arsenal head coach and he will look to secure his first win in front of the Arsenal faithful.

It has been a rough year for the Arsenal — a year of woefully underperforming has led them to 12th place in the table. But, as the Gunners host their London rivals Sunday, and my heart is winning over my head and I am going to say that there is reason to believe this could be a turning point.

Chelsea are unpredictable at the moment, they won at Tottenham and then they went to lose at home to Southampton, their forwards have been inconsistent in the last few weeks and this gives the Arsenal a glimmer of hope that things can go on their way.

Arsenal team news.

Sokratis is out for this game due to head injury, Kieran Tierney and Kolasinac are also out for this game due to injuries.

Rob Holding, Dan Ceballos, Martinelli,  and Hector Bellerin are all doubt for today’s game, they will be assessed this morning and the doctors will decide if they can make a squad or no.

Team prediction

The formation, I think Arteta will stick with 4-2-3-1.

Bernd Leno is our number one goalie and I don’t think Arteta is going to make a change on this one.

Bellerin could pass medical today but even though I don’t think Arteta will rush him in the team, so for me Maitland-Niles will start at right-back and with Kolasicna and Tierney out, Bukayo Saka will get a nod on the left-hand side.

With Sokratis out, I think Calum Chamber will come back in the starting lineup after missing the last game due to collecting five yellow cards. I think David Luiz will keep his place in the squad.

Defensive Midfielders

Last time against Bournemouth the pivot of Xhaka and Torreira worked very well, I think Arteta will stick this them, there are rumors that Xhaka is off to Hertha Berlin and if he missed this game then I will believe that he is off for real.

Attacking 3.

Reiss Nelson had a good game against Bournemouth but I thought something was missing in his game, I have a feeling that Nicolas Pepe will start today on the right side of our attacking 3.

Özil had one of the best games in recent years against Bournemouth, I believe he will keep his place on the side with Aubamayang starting on the left-hand side.

Alexandre Lacazette had a stinker in the last game and some fans were calling for his head and they want him sold, for me, he is still a very good striker and in the big game at Emirates, I always fancy him to score, I don’t only think that he will start but I have a feeling that he will score today.

Score prediction

It is very difficult to predict Arsenal at this moment but I always think Arsenal will win, so my head is telling me it will be a 2-2 draw but my heart is going for 3-2 win for the Arsenal.
