Arsenal suffer friendly defeat to Aston Villa

The Gunners were beaten 3-2 in a behind-closed-doors clash with their Premier League rivals at the Emirates Stadium.

The game, which took place at Emirates Stadium, saw both teams use the contest to give a mixture of first-team and youth players a chance to get some minutes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on target twice for the Gunners, with one of the goals coming from the penalty spot.

Arsenal suffer friendly defeat to Aston Villa

According to Charles Watts from goal.com, Aston Villa was the first team to score after Douglas Luiz gave the visitors a lead before Arsenal captain equalized just a few minutes before half time.

Arsenal fell behind again when Jacob Ramsey restored Villa’s lead, but they made it 2-2 when Aubameyang scored his second of the afternoon from the penalty spot.

Villa sealed the win soon after, however, with Ramsey again the man on target for Dean Smith’s side.

From the images I have seen in social media, it seems like Mesut Özil was involved in the gas as well as new signing Willian who was seen in Arsenal colors for the first time.

Dani Ceballos whose loan deal was confirmed yesterday also participated in today’s game.

This was a second friendly match for Arsenal this week, they played Queen Park Ranger on Tuesday, a game which they won 4-3.

There is a rumor that Arsenal will play the last friendly game is Tuesday, for no I do not have many details on who will be the opponent.

Arsenal will kickstart their season next Saturday away to Fulham. That fixture will place at Craven Cottage on September 12.
