Arsenal started the match very well and they were able to control the game for the whole 90 minutes. Arsenal got their first goal after Pépé swept in the opener in the eighth minute and Sokratis grabbed the second in the 42nd after United goalkeeper David De Gea parried Alexandre Lacazette’s header.

At half time the score was Arsenal 2-0 Manchester United.

After the start of the second half, neither team made any change in personal, but Arsenal looked to defend one meter deeper, this gave Manchester United more balls but Arsenal controlled the game with and without the ball.

To be honest, that Man United never looked likely to score due to the fact that Arsenal had a very well organized defensive shape and manchester United was not able to break it.

At the end of the game Arsenal 2-0 Man United.

After collecting one point from his first two games since replacing Unai Emery, Mikel Arteta secured Arsenal’s first win at home in the league in three months.

While Arsenal climbed to 10th in the standings, United missed a chance to close in on the Champions League places. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side instead fell five points behind Chelsea after the fourth-place club was held to a draw by Brighton.

Today’s game was the best Arsenal game I ever watched for a long time and after the final whistle, many Arsenal fans looked happy not only for the victory but also for the performance, energy, and hunger shown by the players for the whole 90 minutes.

Every Arsenal played very well but for me, Mesut Özil was my man of the Match, Özil was everywhere today, he ran his socks off.

Arsenal’s next game will be against Leeds United in the FA cup next Monday.
