Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry has been named in Germany’s squad for the 2016 Olympics.

Gnabry is in a very strong squad which includes Lars, and Sven, Bender, Max Meyer, and Timo Horn.

This means that the 21-year-old will miss the beginning of the season at the tournament, which runs from August 4-20 for the men’s competition.

With the Gunners facing Liverpool on August 14th and Leicester City on the 20th, this could leave them even more short-handed for the start of the campaign.

It is already expected that key players such as Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, and Laurent Koscielny may have to miss early games after being involved in Euro 2016 and the Copa America.
